|  | In the field of freight transport, a strategy that is adequate towards market trends would involve: • Making an own corporate policy, closely linked to the marketing strategy in the different market segments; • Preservation and restoration of carriages of mass loads by improving the quality of services offered; • Increasing the number and volumes of international railway carriages (import-export-transit); • Developing combined transport (container shuttles and block trains in national and international traffic, Ro-La carriages); • Optimizing the system of wagon consignments; • Gradually improving and modernizing the wagon fleet.
In the field of tariff policy, BDZ EAD offers its clients: • In cases of carriages through borderline stations with wagons owned by BDZ, transport prices are calculated with a 20% discount according to ?? ÒÅÀ’s Table ². • In cases of export through borderline stations with private wagons, transport prices are calculated with a 40% discount according to ÒÅÀ’s Table ² (in cases of export through Varna Ferry according to Table ²B of the Unified Tariff for Carriage by Rail in the Republic of Bulgaria (ETPT). • In cases of transport of transit goods from a port to a borderline station or back, with wagons owned by BDZ, the Macedonian Railways or the Serbian Railways, a 52% discount is given off the prices of ÒÅÀ’s Table II, and with private wagons a 62% discount is given off the prices of ÒÅÀ’s Table II; • In cases of transport of transit goods from port to port, a 20% discount is given off the prices of Tables ²À and ²À-1 of ETPT; • The use of railway (combined) transport in import/export carriages from/to Macedonia, with re-loading onto/from a lorry at an internal station is stimulated by a 10% additional discount of transport prices; • In the organization of carriages with a block train, with a minimum gross mass of 950 tons and a minimum quantity of 10 000 tons, a 6% additional discount is given for import and a 5% additional discount for export; • In cases of transport of all kinds of goods with corn wagons and fertilizer wagons owned by BDZ EAD, the increase according to §20 of ETPT and ?? ÒÅÀ is applied in the amount of 10% instead of the envisaged 20%; • In the negotiation of logistic schemes for the transport of ?? ÃÒÊ îòfrom import and/or for export through a port with a block train, an up to 20% discount off the prices is given according to the Special Tariff for the transport of ?? ÃÒÊ to ETPT; • In the case of negotiating logistic schemes and ensuring goods for transportation with railway wagons in both directions (full-full), a 20% reduction of transport prices is applied; |
