|  | Unified Tariff for Carriage by Rail in the Republic of Bulgaria (ETPT)
This tariff is applied for transporting goods by rail in the Republic of Bulgaria, in the observation of: The Uniform Rules Concerning the Contract for International Carriage of Goods by Rail (CIM) – Annex B of ÑÎÒIF; The Uniform Additional Regulations under CIM (DCU); The Agreement on International Railway Freight Communications (SMGS) and the Office Instruction to it; The Statue on the Railways in the Republic of Bulgaria, the Bulgarian State Railways Act; Other regulative documents on railway transport The notification of entering of the tariff in force as well as of amendments and additions related to the tariff are published in the Tariff News of the Railways of the Republic of Bulgaria. This tariff is applied for transporting goods by rail in national and international traffic, except for cases when another international tariff to which Bulgaria is not party is obligatorily applied in international traffic. Under the conditions of the present tariff, consignments are transported in the following directions: • Export via the Varna Ferry Complex and ports, including crossing of the trade free zones; • Import via the Varna Ferry Complex and ports, including crossing of the trade free zones; • Transit via the Varna Ferry Complex and ports, including crossing of the trade free zones; • Transport between internal stations, between two or more trade free zones included, without crossing border stations or ports. The tariff is in Bulgarian. Transport prices and prices for additional services and extra charges related to the transport are given in Euro.
Under the current international regulations, goods handed out for transportation with a single Consignment Note are considered as one consignment. The freight price is calculated separately for each consignment. The charging depends on: • The nature of the goods – designation, position, class; • The weight of the consignment. • The type of the consignment – wagon type, container type; • Carriage distance; • Other conditions stipulated under the tariff. Under the international regulations, the minimum chargeable weight is 5 000 kg per axle of the wagon used. The freight price for wagon consignments is calculated depending on the ownership of the wagon used (Bulgarian or foreign), the single freight rate shown in the relevant table (part III) for the total weight of the consignment, but not less than the chargeable freight weight. The freight prices of a consignment in domestic traffic, between stations on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, are calculated in Euro and must be collected from the Consignor in advance at the origin/forwarding station using the national currency, the Bulgarian lev, following the exchange rate fixed by the Railway administration. |
