After a preliminary specification of the type and quantity of the goods, the initial and the end station, etc., a logistic scheme of the transport is built and the client is given instructions for carrying out the transport.
Carriage of goods from Western Europe to Turkey and Greece and back
Carriage of goods from Western Europe to Turkey and Greece takes place mainly with block-trains. This organization of the transport reduces the time for delivery and the risk of thefts and vandalism, the quality of the transport process is improved
Carriage of goods for export and from import into Bulgaria for and from the Commonwealth of Independent States
BDZ SPED carries out numerous activities in connection with the carriages through the ferry link Varna – Iličevsk – Poti:
- Re-loading of goods from wagons with a 1435 mm rail gauge (European wagons) onto wagons with a 1520 rail gauge (in the Commonwealth of Independent States)

- Change of transport regulations (SMGS – CIM)
Carriage of goods from the Commonwealth of Independent States to Macedonia and back
Because of the lack of a direct connection, the transportation of goods from the Commonwealth of Independent States to Macedonia is carried out in a combined fashion from wagons onto lorries and vice versa.
