The Panichishte rest home is situated in the Rila mountain, in the centre of Panichishte resort.
The resort is some 94 km from the city of Sofia at an altitude of 1370 m.
The town of Dupnica or the town of Sapareva banja are the starting points for reaching the rest home.
The home has 12 apartments, 9 rooms with 4 beds each, 11 rooms with 3 beds each and 12 double bed rooms. There are also 2 tourist rooms (with no baths and toilets in them) with 7 beds each.
The Panichishte rest home is open all the year round.
It has a good canteen, a library, a daytime bar and a night bar, a fitness hall, a sauna and halls for training (a conference hall and a training hall with 110 seats, a banquet and conference hall with 20 seats), luxury foyers with TV sets and sitting rooms, etc.
The Panichishte tourist sight is a starting point towards the 7 Rila lakes, Lovna hut, Skakavica hut.
In the summer, organized trips are offered to the mountain – to nearby huts and sights.
In the winter, there are two ski tracks.
Dobrinishte rest home
The Dobrinishte rest home is situated in the village of Dobrinishte, Blagoevgrad district. The home is in the northern part of the village, in the skirts of the Pirin mountain.
You can travel to the village of Dobrinishte by:
- rail – Sofia-Septemvri-Dobrinishte
- coach – from Ovcha kupel Coach Station in Sofia to Dobrinishte
- rail and coach – Sofia-Blagoevgrad and Blagoevgrad-Dobrinishte
The Dobrinishte rest home offers good conditions for recreation.
The building is a new one and relatively well maintained, it has been a rest home sine 1994.
It has 33 rooms and 3 apartments. The rooms have two beds each + an additional sofa for children, all having their own baths and toilets.
The canteen has 100 seats.
There is a daytime buffet bar in the building. In the foyers there are TV sets with 25 satellite channels and one video channel. There is also a conference hall.
In the village of Dobrinishte there are mineral springs of therapeutic quality, a bath, a swimming pool measuring 50/25 – 20/10 and a children’s swimming pool which is in the open and functions during the summer months only.
In the summer excursions are organized to the mountain to visit nearby huts and other interesting sights.
Eight kilometers from Dobrinishte, in the villages of Banja and Eleshnica there are swimming pools with mineral water.
Goce Delčev hut is some 10 kilometers away. There is a good asphalt road to it. From Goce Delchev hut to Bezbog hut there is a two-seat lift with a length of 3 km. There is a ski track in the same area, well-maintained for the skiers in the winter. The conditions for winter sports are excellent during the whole of the winter because of the heavy snowfall.
The home is open all the year round, in the winter it is well heated and the southern view of the rooms contributes to the comfort.
Rodiopi rest home
The Rodopi rest home is situated in the central part of the Rhodopi mountains at an altitude of 1480 m. It is some 30 km from Plovdiv and 5 km from Zdravec hut. Another remarkable sight near the home is St. Peter and St. Paul Monastery in the Bjala cherkva locality. It was built in the 10th century and is the only monastery situated at the highest altitude in the Balkan peninsula – 1700 m.
The rest home has 19 rooms with 2+1 beds, 5 rooms with 3+1 beds and 7 apartments, all having their own baths and toilets. There is a beautiful view to be enjoyed from every room.
The rest home has a nice canteen, food is served throughout the day – or for breakfast (or lunch) only.
The Rodopi rest home has two conference halls for 30 and 20 people, respectively, offering ideal conditions for conferences or professional training.
Recreation facilities are the night bar, the summer bar, the tavern, the sauna and the swimming pool, measuring 330 / 330 cm.

Rodina rest home – in the Vitosha mountain
The Rodina Vitosha rest home is at an altitude of 1560 m, four kilometers from the Zlatnite mostove (Golden bridges) locality, near the Bojana waterfall.
You can catch coach No 61 or 261 from the Ovcha kupel Coach Station.
The Rodina Vitosha rest home has two apartments and 58 beds in rooms without their own baths and toilets.
There is a good canteen, a bar and a conference hall. Adults and children can play on the volleyball ground, have a good time in the bowers, situated, along with the children’s playground, amidst marvelous nature, in clean air and tranquility. |
