|  | According to their location, the rest homes and sanatoriums of BDZ are mountain-based and sea-based.
Entitled to using the rest homes and sanatoriums of BDZ are employees of BDZ EAD and the National Railway Infrastructure Company as well as outside visitors. Many educational, official and working forums also take place there – meetings, seminars, training courses, etc.
Sea-based rest homes – open between 1 June and 30 September:
Zheleznichar – located between Varna and the Golden Sands resort
Primorsko – in the village of Primorsko, Burgas District
Rosenec – near Burgas
Mountain-based rest homes – open all the year round
Panichishte – in the Rila mountain
Dobrinishte – in the Pirin mountain
Rodopi – in the Rhodopi mountains
Rodina – in the Vitosha mountain
Sanatoriums, open all the year round:
Kjustendil (town of Kjustendil)
Hisarja (town of Hisarja)
Use of the rest homes
The mountain-based rest homes receive holiday makers for 6 days – from Monday, incl. dinner, until Sunday at noon; whenever there is free capacity, bookings are made for the weekend as well, i.e. for Saturday and Sunday.
For sea-based rest homes bookings are made only for the periods 1 June – 25 June and 10 September – 30 September.
The sanatoriums of BDZ EAD can also accommodate outside visitors, the duration of stay being determined by medical indicators.
Bookings by private persons unaffiliated to the railways can be made by telephone: +359-2-987 41 71 and +359-2-932 44 09, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
In case of free capacity, work meetings and seminars can be held in the rest homes and sanatoriums by companies, foundations, etc.
In the periods March – June and October – November, groups of pupils are received for Green Schools. Orders for organized groups are sent to the following address:

After receiving permission for the use of the rest homes, payment is made on the spot, a VAT-invoice is issued. |
