The BDZ Sped Department was established in 1995 to carry out the following activities: international and internal consignment with all kinds of transport, marketing studies of the transport market, agent services, entrepreneur’s activities, etc. To achieve the aims of its activities, BDZ Sped has two organizational levels: - A central office; - Regional business centres.

CENTRAL OFFICE - The central office carries out the activities of BDZ Sped and the necessary sub-activites related to the fulfillment of the major aims of the department. - The staff is appropriately distributed in the different units according to the particular spheres of work, to encompass the all-round activities of international and internal consignment, marketing studies of the transport industry and all the other activities.

REGIONAL BUSINESS CENTERS
Regional business centres have been set up in places where either powerful freight traffic regularly emerges or these are points where special tasks are to be done. On the basis of the above-mentioned strategy, BDZ Sped has situated its business centres, as follows: - Burgas Business Centre – it includes the area of the Freight Transport Department in Burgas and the corresponding ports- Varna Business Centre – it includes the area of the Freight Transport Department in Burgas and the corresponding ports- Varna Ferry Business Centre – all-round ferry-linking activities- Dupnica Business Centre – all consignments from and to Macedonia; - Kulata Business Centre – comprehensive information on receiving and transferring trains between BDZ and the Hellenic Railways; - Lom Business Centre – the activities of the ports of Lom and Vidin- Pleven Business Centre – it includes the area of the Pleven and Mezdra freight offices and the ports of Somovit and Svištov. - Plovdiv Business Centre – it includes the area of the Plovdiv freight offices- Ruse Business Centre - it includes the area of the Gorna Orjahovica Freight Office and the corresponding ports of Ruse East and Ruse West- Svilengrad Business Centre – comprehensive information on receiving and transferring trains between BDZ and the Turkish Railways. - Sofia Freight Station Business Centre – close contact with all forwarders and receivers of goods at the Freight Station. BDZ Sped has at its disposal highly qualified specialists who can offer their partners appropriate schemes for carrying out freight transport.
