Nearly 200 children traveled with the retro train

Nearly 200 children from various schools in Sofia accepted the invitation of “Bulgarian State Railways” EAD for a retro journey on the occasion of the International Children’s Day. Enthusiastic adults also came to Sofia Central Station to see the composition, hauled by a steam locomotive. The engine itself was festively decorated with flowers and the national flag.
During the train journey the children spiritedly commented the waves of steam, which engulfed the locomotive and the coaches, as well as the booing sound of the locomotive whistle. “Bulgarian State Railways” EAD provided soft drinks and sweets for the kids on board of the train.
After the arrival at Sofia Central Station the children received colorful balloons and made photos in front of the steam locomotive to capture the memory of this unique experience.
