BDZ ÅÀÄ put in operation German coaches in two more trains between Sofia and Bourgas

Today the fast train No 8615 from Sofia via Plovdiv to Bourgas at 13:30 departed with a renewed composition of recycled German coaches. As of tomorrow, fast train No 8610 from Bourgas via Plovdiv to Sofia, which departs from Bourgas at 06:00, will also operate with such coaches.
The renovated German coaches in each composition are without compartments. Four of them are second class and one is mixed class (having both a first and a second-class zone). The mixed-class coach has 25 first-class seats and 46 second-class seats. The composition also includes a postal wagon, which carries the many parcels and other postal consignments to the seaside town.

Such renovated coaches have already replaced the older compositions of eight fast trains along the routes from Sofia to Lom, Blagoevgrad, Varna, Bourgas (via Karlovo). As of September, the express trains “Diana” (Sofia – Yambol – Sofia) and “Chaika” (Sofia – Bourgas – Sofia) run with renovated German coaches of Intercity type.
